I am a licensed professional counselor, mom, and wife. Of course, those are just a few of my titles! As any mom today, I have many job descriptions that at any given moment might include: teacher, nurse, banker, librarian, maid, cook, laundress, entertainment coordinator, disciplinarian, travel consultant, party planner, referee, arts and crafts specialist, stain removal expert, and nutritionist.

When not fulfilling those duties, you’ll find me running, cooking, reading, writing, gardening, biking, and traveling. I like to share my experiences with all these activities since all of them seem to lead me right back to mothering.

If I could wrap up my life philosophy in one word it would be: authentic. I think it takes a lot of courage to live an authentic life - one that is honest and therefore imperfect; A life filled with starts, stops, mistakes, triumphs and the courage to accept responsibility for all of it.  In other words, I’m just stumbling and bumbling along like everyone else and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
